Since our arrival in Sept 2010 we’ve made significant changes to the pub, a new Pentanque Piste with a raised deck and seating area is the latest addition to be added to the existing patio and lawn area. With ample seating, the pub is ideal for families, walkers, cyclists, dog walkers ….. the list is endless
There is also an additional deck area area for the ‘smokers’, who we haven’t fogotten about. We feel the changes made to the Woodpecker Pub, in Newbury, will attract more customers and with the serving of good pub food and stocking the finest ales, the Woodpecker caters for everyone”

Excellent family pub with a warm and welcoming smile everytime we have been. The beer and food is well priced and great value. Would highly recommend to everyone.

The Woodpecker Pub is situated in Wash Water, just outside of Newbury, Berkshire and is ideally situated for easy access into town and being close to the A34 we welcome coaches by prior arrangement.
