We had never run a pub before this and therefore it has certainly been a big learning experience, one we’ve certainly enjoyed doing. Not only that but we’ve made significant changes to the pub since our arrival which include an interior and exterior repaint, new beer garden with a new patio and lawn area with ample seating, ideal for the dog walkers and hikers passing to stop in for a drink or a bite to eat.
There is also an outside decking area for the ‘smokers’, who we haven’t fogetten about. We feel the changes made to the Woodpecker Pub, in Newbury, will help us attract more customers and with the serving of good pub food and stocking the finest ales, the Woodpecker caters for everyone”
